I always find it harder to get my two to eat fruit during the colder months. Whilst I pack their dinners with veg (some of it they can't see - although my daughter can spot a courgette a mile off!), fruit seems to lose it's appeal. I'm giggling as I remember getting my children to try new veg by candlelight - it's amazing if they can't see if properly they will try it!!! Doesn't work now though....
I'm not a fan of stewed fruit and so to be honest it doesn't occur to me to get them to try it (although I have an idea what would happen!!). My freezer is full of it though as I don't want to waste it. I think a few people might be getting apple pies over the weekend!!
C and I went fruit shopping today in Marks & Sparks. Perhaps because she chose it, she devoured quite a bit after dinner tonight, as did H - especially the Strawberries and Cherries.
As part of a New Year Resolution and pre-building project sort-out, I had an amazing discovery. I'm amazed that they were unopened and hadn't been discovered by one of my children during a rummage through the cupboards to find something....anything to eat (other than fruit!!!!).
I had 4 with my tea and now feel sick! They were gorgeous. Now they are open, I can hear them calling me from the cupboard! I hope R comes home and hides them somewhere else before I end up eating them all!!!!! Uh-Oh...C has just found them!!!

hi pinkie cupcake, I love your blog and loved reading it. Your floristry looks excellent. I am only 8 weeks into a floristry course myself. I had to do a spray corsage in the lesson the other day and boy my hand ached. Those ivy leaves! My floristry needs a lot of work still. Love your blog you are very creative x
Who needs fruit when there's food dye!
;-)
I don't know what was wrong with me! First the coffee - how weak? Then the red icing - how strong?!!

Not liking stewed fruit is just all wrong! Maybe will start a new mantra about sted fruit after my success with the Cath Kidston one....
I have one fruit lover (C) and one fruit hater (O). C will eat any fruit - he stands at the greengrocers adn BEGS me to buy lychees or similarly strange things. O will only eat fruit if it is stewed or in jam.
That's a coincidence - we had an M&S fruit fest yesterday AND they had ginger biscuits on a special offer, so 3 packs were bought by No 2!
Love the fruity photo too...
Great photos- I do confess to getting a bit bored with what I call 'normal' fruit, ie.apples and bananas. I did become quite obsessive over Christmas about eating satsumas but then my skin went a bit weird (not orange, just dry and itchy!)I think I am more a veggie girl than fruit, hence the allotment is sadly lacking in anything fruity other than strawberries and raspberries (which I love)
me again- what a fab idea about the coffee shop name! Love it! Do you want to go into business with me?(Got any money?!) You have to list 7 weird facts about yourself apparently, and then show off to the blogging community about your award and how clever you are, etc.as well as pasting the award onto your blog page. I am beginning to have major regrets about mentioning the Simon Cowell. I fear I may have no friends left as a result...(and you're so right about his trousers, not good!)
